The EHR Videos are Complete!

We are pleased and excited to announce that the videos for our Electronic Medical Records classes are complete.  All topics covered in the classes are addressed.  Most of the videos run between 5 to 10 minutes in length.  They coincide with the examples and exercises in the manuals, so you can view a video, then go directly to the manual and complete that section of the class.

There are 34 videos, including a one on Superbill Composer and another on Case Management.  Work on the practice management videos has begun.  We will update you on our progress.

Sample video is linked here:

Aprima Manuals Done – Videos on the Way

In January, 2012 we saw the release of all of our Aprima® PRM 2011 courseware. Our products for PRM 2011 include:  Basic Operator Class for Electronic Health Records Basic Operator Class for Practice Management, and Administrative Class for Electronic Medical Records and Practice Management (for medical office staff), and Introduction to Electronic Medical Records Instructor and Student Manuals, and Introduction to Practice Management Instructor and Student Manuals (for educational institutions). We also released the second edition of our EMR Demonstration Scripts for sales purposes.

Work has begun on the videos that coincide with the classes.  Learning is always better when you can read, see and do.  We feel the video lessons are critical to the success of our educational classes.  There are videos to complement each section in the manuals.  They are typically seven to ten minutes in length.  They demonstrate the features that are being covered in the different sections of the class to make completion of the class easier for students in a self-study environment.  They are also beneficial as short refreshers on features that are not used every day by the office staff.

The EHR videos are now available through Section 8 and we anticipate all the EHR videos will be complete by the end of October.  The Practice Management videos will follow.  We will keep you updated on the progress of this exciting new element of the educational materials.

Christmas Season 2011 – Birth of Practice Management Training Guide

We are busy with the final tasks to finish the long-awaited first publication of our training manual for Aprima PRM 2011 that covers the essentials of the Practice Management System.  Although we have done over seven editions of the Basic Training Guides covering the features and capabilities for the Electronic Medical Record aspects for the Aprima products this is our first publication of a training guide covering the Practice Management System.  Our PTG members, other Aprima Resellers and customers have been asking us to do this, so this Christmas season our first Practice Management training guide will be born.

This manual has over 235+ pages of step-by-step examples of how to complete billing tasks and utilize the features of the Practice Management system.  A partial list of the topics covered are

Basics of navigation ♦ In-depth exploration of patient demographics ♦ Appointment scheduling functions and usage ♦ Reviewing past notes for billing information ♦ Patient history ♦ Attaching documents, photos and advanced directives to patients charts ♦  Messaging for phone calls, tasks, refills and authorization requests ♦ Creating batches and charge tickets ♦  Patient check-in,  co-pays ♦ deposit slips ♦ office charge posting ♦ check-out functions ♦ hospital charges ♦ personal and insurance payment posting; adjustments ♦ day/month end balancing procedures ♦ Practice Management Reports ♦ fee schedules and more.

All our products are designed around a custom database tailored specifically to these classes. It is very small with a limited number of patients. The database consists of patients with history that accentuates the features in the Aprima EMR and is used to reinforce the learning process through working exercises contained in the Educational Books, Sales Demonstration Scripts and Training Guides.
